Local Columbus Fast Casual Restaurant Closes Two of Three locations

In 1031, Columbus, Commercial, development, Listings, net lease, nnn, real estate, Retail

Local Columbus fast casual restauranteur, Sweet Carrot, closed their two newest locations, Dublin and Polaris.

I haven’t personally been in the Dublin location, but have Polaris after the gym.  True, it was never all that busy, but I thought activity would pick up after the access road from Polaris up by the new Certified station to Gemini was opened, which it is as of a couple of days ago.   This is as sudden as when Pei Wei closed up.

Sweet Carrot owner, Angela Petro says she expanded too quickly.   I’ve long thought that you second location is your most dangerous.  Can you scale?  Can you expand safely and still manage effectively?  This is what happens so frequently.

I’m not certain of the current number of restaurants in and around Polaris as it likely changes daily, but I would bet the number approaches 100.  As I mention to prospective clients looking to net lease Columbus Ohio triple net retail or restaurant space in Polaris, that it’s really competitive.  So consequently, it’s really hard to ‘make you mark’ and separate yourself from the immense competition.

Anyway, Columbus Ohio commercial real estate agents and commercial realtors, we have another space to lease up …. again.   This time, that location is a little more attractive now that the road goes all the way though to Gemini.  I don’t know if it has a name yet.  No signs that I’ve seen.

For those folks in a 1031 exchange, I don’t believe the multi tenant building is for sale, but I’ll be happy to inquire for you.
