Revised Columbus Ohio Hilton Expansion

In Columbus, Commercial, development, Green Building, investing, net lease, nnn, real estate, Retail

The proposed $220 million 28 story Columbus Convention Center Hilton received an enlargement plus other changes were presented to the Columbus Downtown Commission late last month.  No vote was taken, but that should happen later this month or in June.

The project was conceptually reviewed by the commission providing more detail regarding interior and the interface with High Street and the convention center.  The main hotel lobby is to be accessed from Ohio Center Way with a prominent restaurant on the southwestern corner of the site.  Project will seek LEED Gold certification employing elements such as a green roof for the the shorter portion of the building.

A 1000+ room hotel within a short walk of the Columbus Convention Center has been needed for a couple of decades so I’m confident that parties will work diligently toward a successful outcome. We can’t seem to get enough net leased retail and office space around the convention center.

See the Columbus Underground link below for more detail.
